YuanYi’s turning services are primarily used to manufacture various precision turned parts, including shafts, sleeves, couplings, pins, and other custom cylindrical components. Whether dealing with simple designs or complex parts that require high dimensional accuracy and surface finish, we are capable of completing machining according to drawing specifications. From prototype production to mass production, we consistently prioritize dimensional stability, machining consistency, and delivery efficiency to help our customers advance their product development and production schedules more smoothly.

Typical turning capacity, tolerance range, concentricity control, and surface finish capabilities for precision turned components.

Much of our machining expertise doesn’t come from books, but from repeated hands-on production experience. When working with parts made of different materials and featuring different structures, we inevitably encounter all sorts of unexpected challenges. The following case study of a large red copper part is a lesson we’ve learned through our practical machining experience.

With 15 years of turning machining experience, Master Luo specializes in high-concentricity and high-position-accuracy one-setup machining strategies.

In this project, we machined a batch of 99.99% pure copper turning parts with a diameter of approximately Ø250–300 mm and a length of around 230 mm. Due to the high stickiness of pure copper, deep groove machining easily caused built-up edge, poor chip evacuation, fast tool wear, and unstable dimensions.
Instead of using traditional straight-line cutting, we applied a dynamic cutting strategy. The tool stayed in a light-cutting and high-speed movement state, allowing chips to break quickly and discharge smoothly. We also optimized the tool entry method, spindle speed, feed rate, and cooling control around the deep groove area.
During continuous production of more than 50 copper components, no severe chip clogging occurred in the deep groove area. Tool wear was significantly reduced, and one roughing tool completed the entire batch while maintaining good cutting condition. This improved machining efficiency, reduced tool cost, and increased batch stability.
From initial approval to final shipment, we maintain strict quality control throughout the entire turning process. Through in-process inspections, dimensional measurements, and final inspections, we ensure that every batch of turned parts meets the specifications outlined in the drawings and maintains consistent, high-quality machining standards.
During the production process, we conduct regular spot checks on critical dimensions to promptly identify issues such as tool wear and dimensional drift, thereby preventing the mass production of defective parts.
For critical dimensions and complex features, we use equipment such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), 2D measuring machines, and height gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy and consistency.
For projects with specific requirements, we can perform 100% final inspections prior to shipment and provide complete dimensional inspection records as per customer specifications.
We can provide First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, dimensional inspection reports, material certificates, and other quality documentation to meet the traceability requirements of various projects.
Quality stems not only from inspection but also from early-stage process planning. Before machining, we evaluate clamping methods, machining sequences, and critical dimensional control strategies to minimize production risks at the source.

From aerospace and medical devices to robotics and industrial automation, we offer customized turning services for a wide range of industries. Whether it’s high-precision shaft components, fasteners, or complex cylindrical parts, we can provide tailored machining solutions to meet the specific requirements of each application.
Different materials have different requirements in terms of cutting tools, cutting parameters, and machining processes. With years of machining experience, we are able to develop appropriate machining solutions for various materials.
